With an increase in traffic of nearly 9.0, the Luxair Group has been the main contributor in terms of volume. For the coming winter season Lufthansa will replace Luxair to Frankfurt with a 50 percent increase in capacity. The German airline will also add two daily flights to its current twice daily service to Munich while Luxair will add a 4th daily flight on the route to increase the total daily frequency to eight. Meanwhile easyJet will operate between four and five weekly flights to Porto - up from three during the summer; flights to Copenhagen currently operated by Luxair and SAS will be run entirely by Luxair; and Chalair will begin a Monday-Friday service to Lyon on September 28.
