STURTEVANT, Wisconsin: January 13, 2017. Leman USA has opened a new 10,000 sq.mt. warehouse facility in Sturtevant.
The company said increasing demand for domestic and international services has prompted the expansion that provides an additional 23,000 pallet positions.
Speaking at the opening of the new terminal, Wisconsin vice-governor Rebecca Kleefisch congratulated Leman on the potential for local economic growth: "There are real and sincere reasons to invest here in Wisconsin. Today in Sturtevant, everything is awesome," she said.
"In addition to offering a full range of administrative and warehousing services to foreign companies who want to start or expand their operations in the U.S. market," added CEO Mikael Olesen, "Leman will also cater to the local community, offering warehouse space, distribution and value added services."
Headquartered in Denmark, the 115 year-old Leman Group had a turnover of DK1.9 billion in 2015 and employed 700 people throughout Scandinavia, the U.K. and U.S. - where last year it opened its seventh office in Charlotte, NC.
