THAILAND: January 16, 2017. GAC Thoresen Logistics has expanded and upgraded its food-grade distribution facility in Chonburi Province, Thailand.
Capactiy is now 20,000 square meters and pallet positions have more than doubled to 32,000.
The facility (right) is located 42 kms. from Suvarnabhumi International Airport and 46 kms. from Laem Chabang Deep Sea Port and offers customers four temperature-controlled facilities, drive-in and selective pallet racking, 11 hydraulic loading bays, specialised cooling systems and 24- hour monitored security and fire protection.
"Thailand is one of the world's top producers of food products and a major exporter of agricultural and marine products, so there is a constant demand for safe and clean warehousing solutions, including both ambient and temperature-controlled storage and transportation," said Alwyn Mendonca, managing director GAC Thailand.
"Our upgraded facility will enable us to better support the increasing and varied needs of our customers, who include food, pharmaceutical and FMCG importers, manufacturers, distributors and exporters in Thailand's eastern seaboard and beyond," he added.
GAC Thoresen Logistics is a joint venture between the GAC Group and Thoresen Thai Agencies, an Asian investment group. The organization also provides other logistics services including ocean and air freight, customs clearance and land transportation.
