Opticooler EthiopianADDIS ABABA: February 06, 2018. Ethiopian Airlines is to begin a three times weekly B787 service from Addis Ababa to Chicago via Dublin on June 09.

The flight will leave at 22.15 arriving in Dublin at 0525 and Chicago at 0755 prior to departing at 0955 for the return to Addis Ababa.

Ethiopian perishables exporters, including flowers, will now be able to use the Opticooler climate-controlled solutions from DoKaSch following the signing of a master agreement that will allow the airline to provide ULD capacity to shippers.

Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services managing director Fitsum Abady said: "In this fast growing and strongly competitive market, it is important that we offer our customers the best packaging solution for their sensitive cargo."

The Opticooler is equipped with battery powered cooling compressors and heaters, as well as a self-regulating temperature controls, to ensure pharmaceuticals stay well within product range at any point in the supply chain.

Andreas Seitz, managing director of DoKaSch Temperature Solutions added: "Ethiopian Airlines hub in Addis Ababa develops very positive regarding the cargo handlings (sic). Therefore we are very pleased that we could expand our African network by signing the master agreement."
