Operated by MSC, the MSC Ruby is 366 metres long, 48 metres wide and has a capacity of 13,000 TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit, the international standard unit equivalent to a 20-foot container).
The vessel arrived at CSP Iberian Bilbao Terminal at 7:00 a.m. from Sines and is scheduled to depart tomorrow, Thursday, for Le Havre.
The terminal has a 21-metre draft and handled the vessel using its new state-of-the-art Super Post-Panamax Ship-to-Shore (STS) crane. This equipment significantly increases the terminal’s operational capacity, improving productivity and efficiency by incorporating the latest technology and capabilities available for loading and unloading the container vessels calling at the Port of Bilbao.
