QUITO, Ecuador: August 02, 2018. Kuehne + Nagel has acquired the perishables business of Panatlantic Logistics to expand its export business to the US, Europe and Asia Pacific.

panatlantic“Perishables Logistics is a strong growth driver for Kuehne + Nagel, commented Yngve Ruud, member of the Managing Board of Kuehne + Nagel International responsible for Airfreight. “With Panatlantic Logistics on board we further strengthen and expand our fresh chain network – the largest in the logistics industry for perishables – connecting key production countries to major markets.”

Panatlantic Logistics S.A. was founded in 1979 and is headquartered in Quito. The combined volume of the two company’s annual export of perisahbles from Ecuador is expected to top 32,000 tons.

Together with its export business from Colombia, Peru, Brazil and 
Chile, Kuehne + Nagel says it controls over 120,000 tons of perishables from South and Central America.
