Changi Airline Awards 2026 Scoot Changi Airport Group (CAG) today named Scoot as Partner of the Year at the annual Changi Airline Awards (CAA) 2026, recognising the airline’s contributions to strengthening Changi’s connectivity and stimulating travel demand.

The event, which is in its 19th edition, brought together more than 90 airline and aviation partners, and was graced by Mr Jeffrey Siow, Acting Minister for Transport and Senior Minister of State for Finance.

As a key partner, the sister airline of Singapore Airlines has broadened Changi Airport’s network, enabled more seamless travel options for passengers and supported efforts to grow demand across Changi’s key markets.

During the year, Scoot increased its flight services to 13 new destinations across Southeast Asia, North Asia and Europe, of which 10 are new to Changi Airport. This significantly strengthened Changi’s connectivity, extending its network to more secondary cities across Southeast Asia. In addition, Scoot also forged new interline partnerships with six airlines at Changi, offering passengers more seamless travel options to destinations worldwide.

Beyond expanding connectivity, Scoot collaborated closely with CAG to boost travel demand through joint marketing activations across various digital platforms and via in-market roadshows. This included the successful launch of a “Shall We Just Go” campaign in 2025 which tapped Singaporeans’ appetite for quick getaways. The campaign drove strong conversion, generating 46,000 bookings supported by promotional fares to over 40 Scoot destinations.

Mr Leslie Thng, Chief Executive Officer of Scoot, said: "This recognition as the 'Partner Airline of the Year' reflects our continued strong partnership with CAG, as well as reinforces our commitment to enhancing Changi Airport’s status as a leading global aviation hub. It is also a testament to the hard work and dedication of all my fellow colleagues at Scoot, as we continue to enhance the Singapore air hub’s network connectivity and support the growth of air travel. As the aviation industry navigates a growingly complex landscape, we will harness the collective strength of the ecosystem and work closely with our partners to deliver quality service and many more seamless journeys for our customers."

Speaking at the event, Mr Yam Kum Weng, Chief Executive Officer of CAG said that in an increasingly uncertain and evolving aviation landscape, trust and reliability remain fundamental to Changi as a global air hub.

“For both airlines and passengers, the consistent delivery of a high-quality experience on every journey remains paramount,” said Mr Yam. “To uphold this commitment, we will embark on a series of major upgrades to unlock capacity, to support airlines’ growth and strengthen the resilience of Changi Airport.”

To increase handling capacity and support future growth, CAG will undertake a series of large-scale infrastructure enhancements, including upgrades to Terminal 3 (T3)’s Baggage Handling System, additional bus gates, an expanded Skytrain fleet, and a new inter-terminal baggage conveyance system between Terminals 1 (T1) and 3. CAG will also invest in airside infrastructure to support the new B777-9 aircraft, with over 50 aircraft stands that can accommodate this aircraft type by this quarter.

Mr Yam added, “These investments reinforce the strong foundations we have worked hard together to build, ensuring that Changi remains your strategic partner of choice.”

At the annual event, 24 awards were presented across key categories spanning Top Airlines by Passenger Carriage and Cargo Carriage, Top Airlines by Absolute Passenger Growth and Absolute Cargo Growth, Best Airline Marketing, and Partner of the Year. The awards recognise airline and industry partners who have been central to expanding connectivity and supporting continued growth in both passenger and airfreight traffic through Changi Airport.
