MUSCAT: May 16, 2017. Following its participation at transport logistic last week, Oman Air Cargo has announced Globe Air Cargo, an ECS Group subsidiary, is the airline's sales partner for The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Oman Air Cargo  transport logisticThe move follows the recent expansion of a code share agreement between Oman Air and KLM from Muscat to Amsterdam to include Frankfurt, London Heathrow, Munich, Paris CDG and Zurich.

The new partnership with Globe will now provides Oman Air with overnight cargo volume to CDG, LON and FRA and trucking and handling support from BRU and AMS.

The ECS subsidiary will also market Oman Air's cargo network from Muscat to destinations in the Middle East, India and Asia and help the airline develop premium cargo services including perishables and pharmaceuticals.

Commented on the new tie-up with Globe, Oman Air senior vice president Commercial Cargo Mohammed Al Musafir said: "This will give us an excellent opportunity to be represented in the Benelux region through a strong local partner. Oman Air Cargo is committed to an aggressive expansion plan, and the Benelux region is of interest to us as we look at expanding our network to better serve our clients worldwide."

Mariet Zollner, managing director Globe Air Cargo Netherlands added: "We are confident that our customers will support Oman Air due to their customer-friendly approach and the opportunity its network offers to them."

Exhibiting in tandem with the Oman Airports Management Company at transport logistic, Al Musafir showcased the airline's 'Secure Vault' service for high value commodities and promoted Oman as a strategic cargo hub as the Sultanate shifts its focus towards logistics as a major pillar for economic growth.
