APL GwangyangSINGAPORE: October 09, 2017. APL has renamed its two guaranteed service offerings 'Eagle Guaranteed' and added 'Eagle Go' to the suite with a guarantee of equipment and vessel space on its North America services departing Shanghai, Ningbo and Yantian in China and Cai Mep in Vietnam.

The three service levels come with a money-back guarantee and apply to 20 APL U.S.-bound services from four Asian ports. Shippers can now capitalize on the year-end holiday shopping season, according to the company.

"APL's 'Eagle GO' seeks to address the concerns of equipment and vessel space shortages as the Trans-Pacific trading season goes full steam," explained senior vice president for the region, Jesper Stenbak.

APL's 'Eagle GET' (previously called 'Eagle Stow') promises a 12-hour discharge of cargo from EX1, SC1 and PE1 services at its Global Gateway South terminal in Los Angeles.
'Eagle Reach' Delivering (previously called 'Eagle Guaranteed') ensures a day-definite arrival of containers on the EX1 service from the GGS terminal to rail yards in Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, El Paso, Kansas City and Memphis.

"Together with our EX1 service, this range of Eagle Guaranteed products further differentiates APL in the market place. This comprehensive suite of end-to-end solutions is tailor-made for the different needs of our customers. We are confident that this premium product will offer shippers their desired predictability for a critical competitive advantage," claimed Stenbak.

Earlier this month APL announced the addition of Durres, Albania and Thessaloniki, Greece to its Mediterranean Express 1 service and Novorossiysk, Russia Black Sea and Poti, Georgia to its Mediterranean Express 2 service rotation.
