Justin Carr EtihadABU DHABI, October 19, 2017. Etihad Cargo senior vice president David Kerr is to leave the organization at the end of 2017. The airline said his successor would be announced "in the coming months".

Kerr's resignation follows last week's news that Ulrich Oigermann will leave Qatar Airways Cargo at the end of the year after five years as CCO.

Etihad Airways CEO Peter Baumgartner acknowledged Kerr's contribution to the airline saying: "During his seven-and-a-half-year tenure, Etihad Cargo's business trebled to become a billion dollar organization. I would personally like to thank David for his tremendous work and to wish him well for the future."

Etihad has also announced Justin Carr is the airline's new vice president Cargo, Commercial. Carr is DHL's former head of Multinational Business Development for the Middle East and Africa. Appointed in July, he is responsible for global sales, key accounts, product teams and Etihad Cargo's freighter platforms.

Baumgartner added: "We welcome Justin to the team at this exciting and challenging time in the air cargo industry. His experience and familiarity with the region and customers are already paying dividends."
