USSHCASABLANCA: October 31, 2017. Royal Air Maroc (RAM) Cargo has launched a new personal effects service on its flights from the U.S. and Canada via Casablanca to destinations in Africa.

ECS Group, which provides GSSA services to RAM via its subsidiaries Globe Air Cargo in the U.S. and Exp-Air Cargo in Canada, said it anticipates a high response rate to the service from expatriate communities in both countries.

To celebrate the launch, RAM Cargo and ECS recently sponsored a special double-header professional soccer match in New Jersey featuring the New York Red Bulls against the Vancouver Whitecaps FC.

The face-off, which was won 3-0 by the 'Bulls, was followed by the U.S. Soccer Heroes Community Cup, a charity match featuring members of local law enforcement and first responders against civilian players from local communities.

The event, which began in 2008, has gathered more than 25.000 supporters and offered RAM Cargo the opportunity to promote this new service among African communities living in the U.S.

Proceeds from the match supported the charitable aims of the 501c3 non-profit that helps with community fitness initiatives as well as aids first responder families in times of crisis.

"The US Soccer Heroes is all about building bridges using soccer," explained USSH founder and director of coaching Alex Lalaoui who has been running The Soccer Learning Center training academy for 16 years.

"When you put folks on the soccer field together, remarkable things begin to happen," he said. "Players all become focused on the ball and the goal – not politics or perceptions – it's a great way to help and heal."
