Envirotainer TurkishSAN FRANCISCO, November 01, 2017. The Bio Supply Management Alliance (BSMA), a community of supply chain professionals in the biotech, biopharma, and biomedical device industries, has recognized Envirotainer as 'Innovator of the Year' for its Envirotainer Academy.

The Academy, set up in 2013, provides free education to all biopharma stakeholders including forwarders, carriers, handling agents and manufacturers, to help mitigate risks within the cold chain.

According to the organization there are now over 13,500 learners and 270 companies using it to train their staff.

Academy Manager Catherine Taylor commented: "By offering free, accessible training and working closely with industry stakeholders, our goal is to improve knowledge and expertise throughout the cold chain."

The Academy currently offers basic and advanced level online courses in multiple languages from instructor-led training, online videos, training aids, and posters to promote best practices.

As a result, Turkish Cargo has now received Qualified Envirotainer Provider (QEP) accreditation for its operations at Brussels and Atlanta in addition to Bombay, Frankfurt, Hyderabad, Seoul, Istanbul and Tel Aviv. The airline has been an Envirotainer customer since 2015 and says it has been able to expand its global pharma business as a result.
