ATLANTA: February 13, 2018. Delta Cargo has launched 'Equation Critical', a new service with GPS-tracking for next-flight-out international shipments with no advanced booking for parcels of 45 kgs or less.

The service is part of Delta's 'Equation' product suite for express shipments with the highest boarding priority, fast connection times at every airport and no pre-booking requirement for shipments below 300 kgs.

Delta Critical Delta's 'Equation Heavy Critical' service covers shipments with a single piece that weighs more than 45 kgs or multiple pieces per airwaybill with a total weight that exceeds 300 kgs.

For an international shipment to 177 countries that's over 300 kgs per piece, the airline has it covered with 'Equation Heavy' – examples include entertainment and production equipment or large automobile parts.

Wrapped, packed or identified in pink, the new Equation Critical service caters to customers shipping - among others things - legal documents, essential machinery or aircraft parts that can be tendered up to 90 minutes before a flight departure.

"Following the successful launch and roll-out of DASH Critical in the United States, we have taken that formula to the next level and introduced our new Equation Critical service for international shipments which have the highest boarding priority in our network," said Shawn Cole, vice president - Delta Cargo. "With GPS tracking and 100 percent service level guarantee, we are introducing a service that ensures important international shipments are in the right place at the right time, throughout the shipping process."

Equation Critical has been introduced initially on Delta flights originating in Atlanta, Savannah and London for GPS-enabled export shipments to Bogota, Johannesburg, Quito and Seoul-Incheon.
