ABU DHABI: March 08, 2018. According to the latest Airports Council International World (ACI) service quality survey, Abu Dhabi (AUH) is the best airport in the Middle East for the second year in a row.

Abu Dhabi airportACI says its survey is the only one to canvass customer views on the day of travel through most of the world’s busiest airports using 34 key performance indicators.

AUH acting CEO Abdul Majeed Al Khoori commented: “I am personally extremely proud of our team, our stakeholders, and all the entities operating at the airport, as I know the challenges they are going through day and night, yet they never fail in exceeding expectations, and delivering a world-class gateway to the capital of the UAE.”

Amman and Medina tied for second place in the region with Dubai third.

“Objective measurement and benchmarking are critical in driving performance in any business especially in such a competitive and dynamic one as an airport,” added Angela Gittens, ACI director general.

AUH also includes a 500,000 sq.mt. logistics park providing both FTZ and express cargo facilities next to the airport’s cargo terminals and airside freight platform. Operators include FedEx, DHL, TNT, Ceva Logistics, Aramex, Augusta Westland and Panasonic Avionics.

Tenant benefits include 100 percent foreign company ownership including corporate and income tax exemptions as well as capital and profit repatriation, plus 24/7 security and access to in-house IT and telecom services.
