SEATTLE: March 28, 2018. Delta Cargo and the cargo division of its joint venture partner, Air France-KLM, have moved to co-located cargo warehouse facilities in Seattle.

AFKLDL cargoThe airline said the move would allow more space for expected monthly volumes of over 400,000 pounds on Delta and the newly launched Air France flights between Seattle and Paris.

Delta has hosted Virgin Atlantic in Seattle for the past year and its ‘One Roof’ partnership has since handled over 1.2 million pounds of cargo via a daily B787 flight.

Other Delta ‘One-Roof’ facilities include Atlanta (with Air France/KLM and Virgin Atlantic); Boston (with Air France/KLM, Virgin Atlantic and Alitalia); Salt Lake City, Minneapolis and Detroit (seasonally with KLM); and New York’s John F. Kennedy International, Washington-Dulles, Miami and Orlando (with Virgin Atlantic).

The airline said the initiative not only provides increased cargo tonnage capacity but also helps deliver a coordinated cargo operation for Delta’s partners and adds local employment opportunities.
