Crowley LNGJACKSONVILLE, FL: June 27, 2018. Crowley Fuels and Eagle LNG Partners have signed a multi-year agreement to supply a pharmaceutical company in Puerto Rico with containerized liquefied natural gas (LNG).

After production at Eagle LNG’s new Maxville Facility in Jacksonville, LNG is loaded into Crowley’s 10,700-gallon ISO tank containers and loaded onto Crowley vessels at the Port of Jacksonville for ocean transport and truck delivery in Puerto Rico.

“Providing LNG from a local supply point offers simplified logistics and assured supplies at competitive prices for Puerto Rico, the Caribbean and the numerous regional customers who are adopting LNG in their businesses,” said Linda Berndt, vice president Eagle LNG.

The newly commissioned LNG liquefaction plant in west Jacksonville has a capacity of 200,000 gallons per day and includes a new truck load-out design allowing faster loading. The plant also will provide fuel for Crowley’s new LNG-powered, Commitment Class combination container/roll-on roll-off 'ConRo' ships when they are introduced later this year.
