Pegasus B737 800LONDON: July 02, 2018. Pegasus Airlines is launching a three times weekly service with B737-800 or A320 capacity from London Stansted via Istanbul to Muscat, Oman on July 03 with a fourth flight beginning later this month.

In June the airline also added Dammam, Saudi Arabia to its network with a daily flight from Stansted via Istanbul. Pegasus now flies to a total of 110 destinations in 43 countries.

The low-cost carrier reported revenue of TL1.2 billion (including cargo) for Q1 2018 and comprehensive income of TL53.37 million. Retained earnings at the beginning of the year were TL336.8 million.

As of 31 March 2018, the Group held firm orders for 86 aircraft with eight delivered this year, 14 in 2019, 13 in 2020 and 2021, 10 in 2023 and 10 the following year. The airline has made purchase commitments totaling TL601.4 million compared to TL593.6 million for the same period last year.

In a forward-looking statement as of Q1 2018, the airline notes a 10 percent appreciation of foreign currencies against the Turkish Lira would result in a loss of TL44.6 million while a depreciation of the same amount results in a gain of TL44.6 million.
