ISTANBUL/DUBAI: December 31, 2018. Pegasus Airlines Cargo and GSSA World Cargo Solutions (WCS) have signed one of the largest Total Cargo Management (TCM) deals for the global aviation sector.

Aydin Alpa WCS GSSAThe new five-year agreement comes into force from January 01, 2019 with preparations now complete for the start of operations in Dubai and Istanbul.

Based in Dusseldorf, WCS was established in 2015 by industry veterans to provide airline customers with a TCM service including complete and comprehensive management of an airline’s cargo division including but not limited to cargo handling contracting, cargo revenue accounting, worldwide sales activities and contracting, claim management, proper IT set-up and operational audits. 

Commenting on his new move, Alpa said the company’s experience in both the passenger and air cargo sectors “formed a perfect match” for Pegasus. “We will be able to tap into new markets and to explore new horizons of cargo business opportunities with this new partnership,” he declared.

Pegasus reported an 8.8 percent year-on-year rise in passenger traffic to 2.2 million in November. Domestic volume increased 6.2 percent to 1.2 million and international traffic rose 12.2 percent to 880,000.
