TORONTO: March 18, 2019. The Rhenus Group has acquired Canadian logistics company Rodair International subject to regulatory approval. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

Founded in 1996, Rodair provides freight forwarding, Customs brokerage, warehouse/distribution and 3PL services in market verticals including automotive, fashion, mining and project forwarding.

The acquisition coincides with Rodair being recognised as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies 2019 in a programme sponsored by Deloitte Private, CIBC, Canadian Business, Smith School of Business and TMX Group.

The award, now in its 26th year, acknowledges best-in-class Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues over C$15 million that demonstrate strategy, capability and commitment to achieve sustainable growth.

Asked to comment on the award and the Rhenus acquisition Rodair CEO Jeff Cullen responded: “This is a testament to the efforts of all our stakeholders who all appreciate that this is part of our continued journey, and not a final destination.
