MILAN: July 18, 2019. The IATA Airfreight Forwarders Association Italy (ANAMA) held its ‘Quality Awards Italy 2019’ earlier this month and named Emirates SkyCargo best carrier in two categories: ‘Flown as Booked’ and ‘Customer Satisfaction’.

SkyCell Emirates SkyCargoThe airline has also won the first SkyCell Quality Award for “its exemplary performance for the transportation of temperature sensitive pharmaceuticals”.

“We are working closely with selected airline partners that are committed to delivering best in class quality. With our award, we want to showcase Emirates SkyCargo’s commitment to quality in pharma transports and inspire others to go the extra mile as well,” commented SkyCell CEO Richard Ettl.

“Over the last two years we have moved pharma consignments across more than 30 global destinations with SkyCell and we have not had a single instance of temperature excursion for these shipments,” responded Julian Sutch, Pharma Global Sales at Emirates SkyCargo. “It is a validation of the infrastructure and the processes that we have taken pains to develop both at Dubai as well as across our network,” he continued.

For the fourth consecutive year Bangalore International Airport has also recognised the carrier for carrying pharma traffic on its three daily flights from Dubai that helped produce 22,000 tons of cargo last year including garments, engineering components and perishables.
